Brief History

Situated directly in the heart of Victoria's western suburbs, the
Polish Sports & Recreation Complex is located 20 mins from Melbourne's CBD. What started off as a club under the name of Polonia, Western Eagles F.C kick started their championship winning ways at the old Maribyrnong Tracy Speedway. Upon securing

approval to play its matches at Maribyrnong at the old Tracy Speedway, an effort was made to assimilate with the local community and renamed themselves as the famous "Polonia Maribyrnong Soccer Club". They remained at the venue until 1992, at which time they moved to the Polish Sports & Recreation Complex Albion where they were presented with a permanent home. Considerable mention to the Polish community, mainly consisting of fresh Polish migrants of the late 80's and early 90's. Through there own blood, sweat and tears, they had erected what we now know as the Polish Sports & Recreation Complex. Only a handful of privately owned football venues across the state, Western Eagles F.C feels privileged and proud to share its facilities with its local community.
