TO OUR U10'S TEAM FOR FINISHING RUNNERS UP AT LAST WEEK'S POINT COOK CUP CHALLENGE !!!

Our U10's and U14's teams were representing WEFC at last weeks  Point Cook Cup.

U10's Team finished runners up - after winning their very tough group games 2:0, 3 : 0 and 4: 0 .. Unfortunately in the grand final boys run out of energy and of luck ( 3 posts and a cross bar ) and lost 2:0. Nevertheless it was a gallant effort by the entire team . Congratulations to all the players and coaching staff ! Well done ! 👍🏻🏆

U14's team lost first game 0:2, drew second 0:0 and come back strongly in the third - winning it 4: 2 . Unfortunately it was not enough to get the team to the final .

Once again congratulations to both teams for their mighty efforts and showing their fighting spirits until the final whistle. 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻

WEFC v BALMORAL FC

4 : 4 DRAW !

By Liam Twomey, Brimbank Star

It was a happy homecoming at Western Eagles
Football Club last week as it welcomed back
former junior star and now Melbourne Victory
youth team captain Thomas Deng.
Deng put the next generation of Eagles’
players through their paces with a number of
training drills and provided insights on what it
takes to make it to the next level.
Western Eagles youth co-ordinator Peter
Marmura said it was a fantastic night for the
club.

Eagles’ favourite son returns!

Ever since right back Thomas Deng joined the Melbourne Victory youth setup from the Western Eagles in October 2014 he has recieved high praise for his dominant all engery performances. I have had the pleasure watching him a number of times this season and feel the he has everything required to challenge for a first team spot sooner rather than later.
